What We Do

We perform repairs both in the shop and on-site. Our services include on-site aerial ladder service, pump testing, foam system testing and calibration, and generator load testing. We are skilled at every type of repair, from basic preventive maintenance, engine repair and overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and aerial repairs to major frame-off repairs and refurbishment of all makes and models of apparatus. We offer warranties that meet or exceed any manufacturer’s coverage and are also a factory service center for most fire apparatus components including those from Hale, Waterous, and Smart Power.

Pump testing is an integral and vital part of apparatus safety and maintenance, and we’re committed to providing passing results the first time. Our EVT-certified fire pump technicians are qualified to perform on-site repairs of most valves, gauges, and switches, and are NFPA 1911 compliant. We also offer discounted rates for multiple pumps.

Your One-Stop Shop for Fire Apparatus Repair

I started my career as a repair technician over 20 years ago. I’m also a career firefighter in the Chicago suburbs. I have a strong understanding of this industry, and I know the urgent nature of apparatus repair.

In generalized repair shops, it’s easy to get stuck in a holding pattern while waiting behind nonessential equipment like dump trucks, semis, and transit buses. Today’s fleets are lean and reserve apparatus are becoming more sparse; waiting for a large shop to get around to your urgent repairs is unacceptable.
